Sr. Director for AI/ML Professional Services and the Lead AI/ML Scientist – Figure Eight Federal

Dave Cook is the Sr. Director for AI/ML Professional Services and the Lead AI/ML Scientist for Figure Eight Federal (F8F) in Washington, DC. He currently drives F8F’s work in pathfinder AI/ML programs in the Defense Department and Intelligence Community. Over his 25+ year career, Dave has focused on solving complex data and analytic challenges in law enforcement, intelligence, defense, health, and across leading corporations worldwide. Believing that data science and analytics is more a marathon than a sprint, he holds firmly to the power of insight through scalable data infrastructure, and the ability of new applications in artificial intelligence and machine learning to shape our futures.

Dave is a civic hacker at heart, working closely with the DC Data Science Community. He has contributed to multiple publications on GEOINT and spatial analysis, taught hundreds of students on intelligence and geospatial analytical methods, and presented to government and commercial audiences around the globe. He is experienced working in large and small companies, large and small government entities, and in building a business as an entrepreneur.
