Ayodele Okeowo, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the CHIPS Program Office
Ayodele currently serves as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the CHIPS Program Office, within the Department of Commerce. In this capacity, he leads engagement and outreach with state and local elected leaders, industry, and other key stakeholders on CHIPS program implementation. Previously, Ayodele served as an advisor for intergovernmental affairs at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, helping implement the Internet for All initiative, part of 2021’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. He also previously held roles at the Democratic Attorneys General Association, on Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign, and other electoral campaigns, ranging from city council to statewide. Ayodele also previously spent time as a management consultant, providing support to federal agencies in the nation’s capital. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University where he majored in Political Science with a focus in politics and government.
