This month’s virtual presenter is Robert Brown, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). At this featured event, Rob will explore how data has become critically important to AI, especially at the USCIS. He will share his experiences with data preparation for AI and ML applications, challenges for AI and ML training on quality data, and current applications and best practices for data preparation and data augmentation.
Rob will also share some of his organization’s struggles and thoughts around operationalizing AI and ML across the organization. He will share why knowing how to identify and address operational and adoption issues will be key for successful AI/ML adoption. This includes managing human expectations of what AI systems can and can’t do, and how humans deal with intelligent systems, including addressing their fears and concerns.
